Future Nurse Gets Help From Lottery Scholarship

When Mary Helene graduated from high school in Little Rock, she knew exactly what career path she would pursue at the University of Central Arkansas.
But it was her parents – who were even more excited about her future, because Mary Helene was getting financial support from a lottery-funded scholarship.
“By having the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship, it helps take the financial burden off my family and me so that I can focus on school,” says Mary Helene.
Mary Helene’s strong desire to help others, as well as a family full of nurses, led her to study pre-nursing at UCA.
“My dream is to be a nurse, and the Lottery scholarship is helping me to get there!”
