Winner Round-Up: Arkansans Win Big Prizes Playing Instant Games

Little Rock, Ark.

Lottery luck is in the air this month as several Arkansas players win big with scratch-off tickets.

Julie S. from Crawford County won $200,000 playing $200,000 Platinum Jackpot with a $10 ticket purchased from Workman’s Travel Center Ozark, located at 3203 Pence Lane in Ozark. She claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center last week.

On her way home from work, Julie stopped by her usual lottery retailer to buy tickets. In a twist, she ended up purchasing three $200,000 Platinum Jackpot tickets from a different location. She won $10 on the first ticket, nothing on the second, and a $200,000 top prize on the third.

“It was a blessing all around,” the lucky winner told lottery officials.

As a “helper of people,” Julie plans to donate some of her winnings.

The $200,000 Platinum Jackpot still has two $200,000 top prizes remaining.

Joe K., a Benton County resident, won a $50,000 top prize playing $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize on Oct. 16.

Playing twice a week, Joe selects his tickets based on luck. He rarely plays $50,000 Frenzy, but this time, his intuition led him to the $20 ticket. Fortunately for Joe, it held a $50,000 top prize that far exceeded his previous biggest win of $500.

“It’s like heaven,” he told lottery officials. “The win is still settling in.”

He plans to buy a new truck with his winnings.

Twenty-three $50,000 top prizes remain on $50,000 Frenzy.

Andy G. from Washington County also won $50,000 playing 200X the Cash. He purchased the winning ticket at Tobo’s #66, located at 1200 W. Wilson St. in Fayetteville, and claimed his prize on Oct. 16.

Andy plays lottery games every other day, preferring $20 instant tickets like 200X the Cash for their high payouts. He purchased the winning ticket as part of his routine and thought he’d only won $50 when he scratched it off. Upon closer inspection, he had landed a $50,000 prize.

“I was in disbelief,” Andy said. “I kept looking at it until it sank in.”

The Washington County man is no stranger to winning; he had previously claimed $50,000 from another game in 2019.

Two $200,000 top prizes remain on 200X the Cash.
