Three Draw Game Jackpots Heat Up in July; Cotter Resident Wins Big with Natural State Jackpot
This week, three draw games offer multimillion-dollar jackpots.
Tonight’s Mega Millions® jackpot is $707 million. July is notably lucky for the draw game, with 27 previous jackpots claimed during the month. Four Arkansans won prizes of $500 or more in the July 17 drawing, including a $1,500 winner in Morrilton and a $2,000 winner in Gurdon.
The Powerball® jackpot rises to $567 million for Wednesday night’s drawing. It is the highest Powerball jackpot this year, more than doubling the $250.8 million jackpot won in Arkansas in March.
The Arkansas-exclusive game LOTTO also draws tomorrow night. At $2.01 million, its jackpot has crossed the $2 million threshold for the first time during this jackpot run and the third time since the game launched in 2022.
Tickets for these draw games are available for purchase at licensed Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about Play on the Go options, visit the Where to Play page on ASL’s website.
One Arkansas lottery player recently won big playing Natural State Jackpot (NSJ), another draw game played and won only in Arkansas.
Glenn Z. from Cotter won $270,000 in the July 15 NSJ drawing. The winning numbers were 8, 12, 15, 16 and 18. He claimed his prize at the ASL Claim Center on July 16.
Glenn, an avid lottery player, found out he won the $270,000 jackpot the morning after the drawing. The big win came days before his birthday, and Glenn knew exactly who to share the good news with: his best friend.
“I think she was more excited than I was,” he laughed.
Perhaps Glenn’s birthday brings him a little extra luck; three years ago, he won a $50,000 prize on another lottery game just a few days shy of the date. This time, he plans to buy a new truck with his winnings.
