September Brings Big Wins for Two Arkansas Lottery Players
Two Arkansas lottery players started September with their biggest wins yet.
Danielle L. of Russellville won $270,000 in the Sept. 2 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) drawing. She claimed her prize at the ASL Claim Center on Sept. 3.
The winning ticket was sold at PDQ 247, 154 State Route 247 in Russellville. The winning numbers were 9, 14, 20, 31 and 33.
Danielle, an occasional lottery player, bought the winning ticket by chance. She stopped by the retailer for some other items, then decided to add a few lottery tickets to her purchase. She bought three LOTTO tickets, knowing the jackpot was high, then selected four NSJ Quick Pick tickets on a whim.
“Let’s just throw in a few Natural State Jackpot tickets,” she thought. “I’m already here!”
The morning after the drawing, Danielle visited the same retailer to buy her grandson a drink before school. She noticed that the jackpot had reset to $50,000 and decided to scan her tickets. To her shock, she was told to visit the ASL Claim Center in Little Rock to claim her prize.
Danielle checked her tickets again, and sure enough, the last ticket matched all five winning numbers, securing the $270,000 jackpot.
The lucky winner rushed to share the good news with her husband, startling him out of his sleep. She also called her daughter and her best friend, both of whom believed she deserved the big win.
“This is life-changing,” Danielle told lottery officials. “I have to catch my breath!”
The jackpot for tonight’s NSJ drawing is $85,000.
Another winner, Antonio P. of North Little Rock, won $75,000 playing Bingo X20, a $3 instant game. He claimed his prize on Sept. 1.
Antonio purchased the winning ticket at Best Superstop, located at 4414 E. Broadway St., in North Little Rock, while he was off work. He plays lottery games every other day and prefers instant tickets. A fan of crossword and bingo-inspired games, he selected the Bingo X20 ticket and waited until he was home to scratch it off.
To his surprise, the ticket held a $75,000 top prize—his first big lottery win.
“No way,” he thought.
Excited, he shared the good news with his girlfriend and his brother.
“I just didn’t believe it,” he told lottery officials.
One $75,000 top prize remains on Bingo X20.
