Pulaski County Man Wins $200,000 Prize Playing Scratch-Off

Little Rock, Ark.

A Pulaski County resident recently claimed a big prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.

E. Withers won $200,000 playing Ultimate Riches, a $10 instant game. He claimed his prize on April 17.

The winning ticket was sold at Roosevelt Shell, 700 E. Roosevelt Road in Little Rock.

Withers bought the winning ticket the day after his wife won $50 playing the same game. A daily lottery player, Withers played Ultimate Riches consistently since its launch but had yet to land a big prize. However, after his wife’s win, he decided to take another chance on the instant game.

Unbeknownst to him, the Pulaski County man would soon have a lucky win of his own.

Withers purchased the $10 ticket at his favorite retailer and returned to his car to scratch it off. To his astonishment, the first row of his ticket held the $200,000 top prize.

“I was so surprised because I just couldn’t believe it,” Withers told lottery officials. “I kept looking at the winning numbers thinking, ‘Well, it has to be right!’”

Determined to stay calm, the Arkansan refused to get too excited about his win. Instead, he rushed to share the good news with his wife.

“Oh, she didn’t believe me!” Withers laughed. She was only convinced when Withers showed her the winning ticket.

Over $945,000 remains in total cash prizes for the Ultimate Riches instant game, including one $10,000 prize and one $5,000 prize.

Instant games are available for purchase at licensed ASL retailers.
