Powerball Jackpot Hits $1 Billion for Weekend Drawing
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Anticipation for tomorrow night’s Powerball® drawing grows as its jackpot reaches $1 billion for the second time this year.
This jackpot remains the draw game’s seventh highest of all time, with a $1.08 billion jackpot from 2023 claiming sixth place. Saturday also marks the 42nd draw in this jackpot run, tying the game record for most consecutive draws in a single jackpot cycle.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing.
To win the jackpot, a player must match all six winning numbers drawn. For an additional $1, players can buy the optional Power Play® multiplier and boost their non-jackpot winnings by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times. Players who match five winning numbers can win up to $2 million with Power Play.
Powerball tickets are available for purchase at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.
