Nevada County Woman Wins $95,000 Natural State Jackpot; Two Arkansas Lottery Players Land Top Prizes on Scratch-Off Tickets
Last week, players from three different corners of the state claimed prizes at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.
Nevada County resident Lula J. won $95,000 in the March 7 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) drawing. She claimed her prize on March 11.
The winning numbers were 5, 15, 23, 26 and 32.
Lula purchased her winning Quick Pick ticket during a regular trip to G Quick Mart, 2252 Highway 19 N. in Prescott. She waited until the Monday after the drawing before checking her numbers online. To Lula’s surprise, her ticket matched all five winning numbers needed to land the jackpot.
Lula consulted her son in disbelief.
“Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” she asked.
Sure enough, Lula had won $95,000. She plans to buy a new car with her winnings.
“Today’s the day!” Lula said, smiling.
The jackpot for tonight’s NSJ drawing is also $95,000.
Two additional winners found their luck playing scratch-off games.
Alton H. from West Fork won $75,000 playing Mega Cash Crossword, a $3 instant ticket. He claimed his prize on March 11.
Alton purchased the winning ticket at E-Z Mart #4318, located at 54 N. Centennial Ave. in West Fork. A daily lottery player, Alton enjoys crossword-inspired games like Mega Cash Crossword.
“It’s a good game to play in my downtime,” Alton told lottery officials.
He scratched the ticket off inside the store, discovering a $75,000 top prize. Alton first shared the news with the store clerks to celebrate, then called his nephew and asked him to come to the store, insisting that he see the winning ticket in person.
Planning to renovate his home with his winnings, Alton has a newfound appreciation for the Mega Cash Crossword instant game.
“I like it even more now!” he said.
Two $75,000 top prizes remain on Mega Cash Crossword.
Another winner, White Hall resident Jonathan D., won $50,000 playing $50,000 Stacked and claimed his prize on March 10.
The $20 winning ticket was sold at United Food Mart Dollarway Road, 5320 Dollarway Road in Pine Bluff.
Jonathan plays lottery games for fun, preferring $20 tickets for higher payouts. After purchasing his $50,000 Stacked ticket, he scratched it off in the retailer’s parking lot and realized he had won a $50,000 top prize.
“I was in shock,” Jonathan told lottery officials.
Jonathan’s wife shared in the surprise when he told her about the win.
“Is that real?” she asked.
Jonathan plans to continue playing lottery games, his eyes now set on the Millionaire for Life™ grand prize.
“This won’t be my last big win!” he said.
Fifty-seven $50,000 top prizes remain on $50,000 Stacked.
