March Brings Big Instant Wins for Arkansans
Whether they played their usual lottery games or tried something new, several Arkansans have won big instant prizes this month.
Pulaski County resident Ralph L. won $100,000 playing X50 High Roller, a $5 instant game. He claimed his prize at the ASL Claim Center on March 9.
Ralph bought the winning ticket with a friend at his favorite retailer, D & J One Stop LLC, 1802 Main St. in North Little Rock. A daily lottery player, he prefers scratch-off tickets and was drawn to X50 High Roller after seeing the “times fifty.” To his shock, he won a $100,000 top prize.
“I’m a winner!” he thought.
Ralph first shared the good news with his friend, who sat up in shock, and a cousin, who congratulated him and offered to accompany him to the ASL Claim Center.
Another winner, T. Walker of Benton, won $50,000 playing $50,000 Stacked. He purchased the $20 winning ticket at Maverik #5263, 2202 Lincoln Road in Benton.
He had stopped at the gas station for something to eat and decided to try his hand at a few instant tickets. A regular lottery player, Walker has two favorite scratch-off games, neither of which were available at the time. Instead of leaving empty-handed, he bought a $50,000 Stacked ticket and scratched it in the parking lot.
The ticket revealed a $50,000 top prize.
Walker could not believe his luck, and he rushed to share the good news with his wife.
“She called me the luckiest man alive,” he laughed.
Walker plans to buy a new vehicle and create an emergency savings fund with his winnings. He also intends to continue playing lottery games.
A third winner, Jose R. of Lowell, also won $50,000 with a $50,000 Stacked ticket purchased from EZ Mart 1116, 1116 E. Emma Ave. in Springdale.
“Just give me one of the tickets,” Jose asked the store clerk. A daily lottery player, Jose enjoys various games and wanted to try something random.
The clerk picked well: Jose’s $50,000 Stacked ticket held a $50,000 top prize, his biggest win to date.
“It can’t be,” he thought.
Excited, Jose threw his hands in the air in celebration. He also contacted his nephew and other family members to share the good news. Their disbelief turned into congratulations after Jose showed them the winning ticket.
The lucky winner plans to take a vacation and visit family with his prize.
Fifty-eight $50,000 top prizes remain on $50,000 Stacked.
