Madison County Woman Wins $50,000 Powerball Prize; Natural State Jackpot Hits $420,000 for Tonight’s Drawing
A lucky Arkansas lottery player turned an ordinary errand run into an extraordinary moment by winning her largest lottery prize to date.
Glenda L. from Madison County won $50,000 in the Oct. 13 Powerball® drawing. She claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on Oct. 20.
The winning ticket was sold at Kings River County Store, located at 22784 Highway 412 in Huntsville. The winning numbers were 13, 14, 32, 52 and 64, and the Powerball number was 12. The Power Play® multiplier was 2.
Glenda bought the winning lottery ticket from her favorite lottery retailer while running errands. After purchasing two Quick Pick Powerball tickets, she accidentally found herself locked out of her car. Luckily, a friend nearby came to her rescue.
Glenda’s luck didn’t end there.
The morning after the drawing, Glenda settled on her porch with a cup of coffee and remembered the tickets she had purchased. Curious, she decided to check the winning numbers online.
“Oh, I’ll look and see,” Glenda thought.
She was shocked to realize she had matched four out of five numbers, plus the Powerball number, to win a $50,000 prize.
“I had to make sure I wasn’t dreaming,” Glenda told lottery officials.
She immediately shared the good news with her husband, who was outside pouring gravel.
“I think I won $50,000!” Glenda exclaimed.
The lucky winner has yet to make plans for her prize but intends to continue playing lottery games.
The jackpot for tonight’s Powerball drawing is $320 million.
For other Arkansans looking for some draw game luck, the Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) is $420,000 for tonight’s drawing.
