Lowell Woman Claims $25,000 LOTTO Prize; LOTTO Jackpot Climbs to $2.262 Million for Saturday’s Drawing

Little Rock, Ark.

A $2 LOTTO ticket turned into a $25,000 payday for Dina Jeffries of Lowell, who claimed her prize Wednesday at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center in Little Rock.

Jeffries purchased the winning LOTTO ticket on the Jackpocket mobile app and won by matching five numbers plus the Bonus Number in the April 8, 2023, drawing.

Jefferies is the fifth Arkansan to win $25,000 playing LOTTO and says, “I just love the idea that it’s in Arkansas.” She plays weekly on Jackpocket, which is currently offering first-time users a free $2 LOTTO ticket using promo code ARLOTTO at checkout.

Overall, more than $1.2 million in LOTTO prizes has been won since the game launched in September of 2022. There are multiple ways to win with LOTTO. Players must match six numbers to win the jackpot or match other number combinations — with or without the Bonus Number — to win non-jackpot prizes up to $25,000.

With her winnings, Jeffries plans to vacation in the Smoky Mountains with her husband this June. She also has her eye on the current $2.262 million LOTTO jackpot.

“I am most definitely continuing to play with hopes of hitting the big jackpot,” says Jeffries. “Everything would be paid off. We would travel and my husband would retire.”

LOTTO is an Arkansas-only jackpot game with drawings every Wednesday and Saturday. The next LOTTO drawing will be held Saturday, April 22, at 9 p.m. Tickets are $2 per play and can be purchased at all lottery retailers or on the Jackpocket app.
