LOTTO Jackpot Rises to $2.586 Million; Crossett Woman Wins $75,000 Playing $3 Instant Game
Climbing with each draw, Saturday night’s LOTTO jackpot is $2.586 million.
LOTTO drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. To win the jackpot, a player must match the six numbers drawn in any order. Other prizes, up to $25,000, are available for players who match three or more winning numbers, with or without the Bonus Number.
Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on draw nights.
Crossett resident Olivia K. already has a reason to celebrate. She won $75,000 playing Bingo X20 and claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on Sept. 16.
“I’ve been saying I would win, but I had no idea a $3 ticket would be the one!” Olivia told lottery officials.
A long-time player, Olivia has a few go-to lottery games, including Cash 3, Cash 4 and bingo-style instant tickets. During a trip to Smoker Friendly #1142, 100 E. 9th Ave., in Crossett, Olivia’s love for bingo inspired her to purchase a Bingo X20 instant game.
Olivia scratched off her ticket in the car and, after much deliberation, realized that the last bingo card on her ticket held a $75,000 top prize. In disbelief, she insisted on having another set of eyes look at the ticket.
“I went back inside the store, and my hands were still shaking,” Olivia said. “I asked the clerk, “Help me out! Did I really win?’”
Sure enough, the clerk confirmed her win and gave Olivia a high-five to celebrate. The $75,000 prize marked her biggest win yet, and the lucky winner has already made plans for it.
“I’m going to buy a house!” Olivia said. “That’s what I’ve been working on.”
Olivia has also shared the good news with several friends and family members, who were equally excited about the win.
