Lottery Player Wins $100,000 on Gifted Scratch-Off Ticket; Winning LOTTO Ticket Worth $25,000 Sold for Wednesday Night Drawing
One lucky player recently won big on a surprise lottery ticket from her husband.
T. Edgerson of Collin County, Texas, won $100,000 playing Fire and Ice, a $5 instant game. She claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on Feb. 11.
Edgerson’s husband purchased the winning ticket at Dixon Road Exxon, located at 205 E. Dixon Road in Little Rock. A truck driver, he enjoys buying $5 tickets for her during his travels. Upon seeing Fire and Ice, he knew it would make the perfect gift.
Edgerson scratched off the ticket once her husband returned home. Lucky for the couple, the ticket held a $100,000 top prize.
“There was a lot of screaming,” Edgerson told lottery officials, laughing. “We won!”
The couple shared the good news with their daughter first, and they plan to eventually take a trip with the prize.
“You just never know when you’ll win,” Edgerson’s husband said.
One $100,000 top prize remains on Fire and Ice.
A winning LOTTO ticket worth $25,000 was ordered via Jackpocket for the Feb. 18 drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 8, 14, 15, 23 and 26, and the Bonus Number was 27.
This ticket is currently unclaimed. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
The LOTTO jackpot is $860,000 for Saturday night’s drawing.
