Lottery Luck Lands in Lonoke County

LITTle Rock, Ark.

Two Lonoke County residents recently claimed big prizes at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.

Michael H. of Lonoke won $230,000 in the April 6 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) drawing. He claimed his prize on April 14.

The winning numbers were 11, 22, 23, 30, and 32. The winning ticket was bought at Doublebees #131, located at 100 Dee Dee Lane in Lonoke.

Michael purchased the ticket at his favorite retailer during a fun outing with his wife. A weekly lottery player, the Lonoke man prefers draw games like NSJ, Powerball® and Mega Millions®. He especially set his sights on the NSJ jackpot, believing he had better odds of winning the Arkansas-exclusive game.

“Well, maybe I’ll win the Natural State Jackpot tonight,” Michael thought on more than one occasion.

This time, his hopes became a reality.

Two days after the drawing, the Arkansan checked his numbers online and quickly realized that he had won the $230,000 jackpot.

“It was unreal,” Michael told lottery officials. “I never thought I’d win anything like that!”

The lucky winner rushed to share the good news with his wife, who initially refused to believe his tale.

“Oh, get out of here,” she responded—until Michael showed her the winning numbers. From there, the couple excitedly told a few other family members about the win.

Michael plans to help his daughter and pay off his home with his prize.

The jackpot for tonight’s NSJ drawing is $70,000.

Another winner, Moniquea P. of Lonoke County, won $25,000 in the April 9 LOTTO drawing. She claimed her prize on April 15.

The winning numbers were 6, 7, 10, 19, 27 and 33, and the Bonus Number was 24. The winning Quick Pick ticket was ordered via the Jackpocket mobile app.

Moniquea regularly orders LOTTO and NSJ tickets via the Jackpocket mobile app in hopes of landing a big prize. However, the Lonoke County woman could not believe her luck when she received a notification saying she had won a $25,000 prize.

“This better be real,” Moniquea thought.

The prize was indeed real, and the Arkansan rushed to share the good news with her sister. Although she initially aimed for the overall jackpot, Moniquea is more than satisfied with her winnings.

The lucky winner plans to seek a new residence with her prize. She also intends to keep playing lottery games.

The LOTTO jackpot rises to $366,000 for Saturday night’s drawing.

NSJ and LOTTO tickets are available for purchase at licensed ASL retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Playpage on the ASL website.
