First-Ever LOTTO Jackpot Winner Claims $2.338 Million Prize With Ticket Ordered on Jackpocket App

Little Rock, Ark.

A Sebastian County woman became the first-ever jackpot winner on the state’s newest lottery game, LOTTO. The winner, who elected to remain anonymous, claimed her $2.338 million prize today at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center in Little Rock.

The Arkansan ordered the winning Quick Pick ticket on the Jackpocket mobile app for the April 29 drawing. She won by matching the six main numbers – 20, 12, 27, 10, 6 and 21.

Retailers receive a 1 percent commission from the sale of winning lottery products. Winners Corner, the retailer associated with ticket orders placed on Jackpocket, will receive a $23,380 commission check for selling the winning ticket.

“I usually play Natural State Jackpot or Lucky for Life® but purchased the LOTTO ticket on a whim,” the winner told lottery officials. “The [LOTTO] jackpot looked high, and since I've never played the game before, I decided to try that one.”

After the drawing, Jackpocket sent the winner a congratulatory email notifying her that she had scored the $2.338 million prize. However, she did not discover she had won anything until Jackpocket called her the following Monday morning.

“I thought it was a spam call because it was from New York,” she said. “After listening to the voicemail, I called them back and was shocked when they said I was the jackpot winner. I first told my husband, but he didn’t believe me because we never win anything.”

LOTTO was launched in September 2022 and is only played and won in Arkansas. Drawings are held at 9 p.m. in Little Rock every Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets are $2 per play. As with any lottery product, a player must be 18 or older to purchase a ticket.

“We are witnessing history in the making with our first-ever LOTTO jackpot winner,” said Eric Hagler, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery executive director. “It is also exciting that this run has yielded 199,835 winners who have claimed more than $3.6 million in total prizes on the game.”

The claimant is the 96th person that has won a lottery prize worth $1 million or more in Arkansas since 2009. With her winnings, she plans to take a family trip, purchase a new house, and her husband a new motorcycle.

The LOTTO jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing now stands at $286,000.

Arkansas lottery players also have the chance to become instant millionaires through either Powerball®, Mega Millions® or an ASL scratch-off ticket. Tonight’s Powerball jackpot has increased to $97 million. The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday is up to $83 million. The $20 $1,000,000 Cash game still has three $1 million prizes waiting to be found.

ASL reminds players to play responsibly. For more information, including game odds and winning numbers, please visit MyArkansasLottery.com. For more information about Jackpocket, please visit Jackpocket.com.
