Carroll County Woman Wins $200,000 Playing Instant Game; Natural State Jackpot Rises to $310,000 for Tonight’s Drawing
One lucky Arkansas lottery player bought a ticket as a fun pastime and landed a bigger win than she anticipated.
Elvia T. from Carroll County won $200,000 playing $200,000 Platinum Jackpot. The winning ticket was sold at Rancho Latino, located at 206 S. Springfield St. in Berryville.
Elvia bought the winning ticket ahead of her mother’s visit. She was looking for some activities they could do together when she spotted the $200,000 Platinum Jackpot ticket.
“I hope one day I win this,” Elvia told the owner.
“Maybe today is that day,” the owner responded.
Unbeknownst to Elvia, her ticket did indeed hold a $200,000 top prize. She discovered her win later that evening while scratching off the ticket at home.
“I was both nervous and excited,” Elvia told lottery officials. “The most I’d ever won was $500!”
The lucky winner first shared the good news with her mother, then with her husband. She plans to invest her winnings for the future.
For Arkansas lottery players interested in draw games, the Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) is $310,000 for tonight’s drawing. Played and won exclusively in Arkansas, NSJ drawings are held daily at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $1 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 7:59 p.m.
