Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Celebrates Students with Lottery Day at the State Fair
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) is celebrating students with Lottery Day at the State Fair, which offers half-price admission to current lottery scholarship recipients.
On Oct. 14, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Day at the State Fair will honor the hard work of students across the state and highlight the life-changing opportunities made possible through lottery-funded scholarships.
“We are proud to celebrate our scholarship recipients and honor their achievements,” said ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong. “Lottery Day is about more than just fun at the fair—it’s a way to showcase the real impact lottery players have on education in Arkansas.”
To receive half-price entry on Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Day at the State Fair, scholarship recipients must present proof of their lottery scholarship award letter at the admissions gates. The Arkansas Department of Higher Education emailed this information to students before the start of the fall semester.
Since 2009, ASL has raised more than $1.5 billion in proceeds, funding over 822,000 scholarships. These scholarships include:
- The Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship provides funding for Arkansas residents attending two-year or four-year in-state colleges and universities.
- The Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship is designated for students seeking training and certification in high-demand fields such as construction trades, healthcare, information technology and industrial maintenance.
- The ACCESS to Acceleration Scholarship, which supports students seeking to enroll in college courses while in high school.
