Arkansas Lottery Players Claim Big Prizes; Powerball Jackpot Surges to $1.4 Billion for Saturday Night

Little Rock, ARK.

Three Arkansans claimed big prizes today at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.

A Lamar woman won $510,000 playing Natural State Jackpot (NSJ). The jackpot is also the second-largest won in the game's history. The winner, who elected to remain anonymous, purchased the winning NSJ ticket at Murphy USA 6792, 1228 Market St. in Clarksville, for the Oct. 3 drawing.

The winning numbers for that night’s drawing were 7, 10, 11, 28, and 31. The Arkansan won the jackpot by matching all five numbers drawn. She played her husband's and children's birthdates and plans to put her lottery prize toward savings.

Eric C. of Quitman claimed a $30,000 Mega Millions® prize this morning. He matched four white balls and the Megaball® number for the Oct. 3 drawing and purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket from Thunderbird Mobile, 369 Highway 25 N. in Greenbrier.

The Arkansan regularly plays the lottery and first told his wife about the win. He plans to pay off his tractor and “splurge a bit” with his lottery winnings.

“I want to buy a couple of items for my shop and purchase a PlayStation®5 console for my wife,” Eric added.

Larry S. of Yellville won a $10,000 Mega Millions prize on a Quick Pick play. He purchased the winning ticket from White Oak MoArk #3, 102 Highway 62 E. in Yellville, for the Aug. 8 drawing.

A Powerball® ticket worth $100,000 was sold at E-Z Mart #4210, 206 W. McKissack in Waldo, for last night’s drawing. The winner has yet to claim their prize.

The winning numbers were 9, 35, 54, 63 and 64, with the Powerball being 1. The multiplier was two. The player matched the four white balls and the Powerball number. However, they increased their $50,000 prize to $100,000 by including the Power Play® option for an additional $1 per play.

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday night is an estimated $1.4 billion jackpot. If the jackpot is hit, it would be the third-largest in the game’s history. NSJ is $55,000 for tonight, and the Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $350 million for Friday night’s drawing.
