Arkansas Lottery Players Claim Big Prizes; LOTTO Jackpot Soars to $464,000 for Saturday Night’s Drawing

Little Rock, Ark.

Arkansans all over the state claimed big prizes this week at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.

Michael Koontz turned an unlucky lottery ticket into a lucky one when he won $500,000 in ASL’s Play It Again® Oct. 26 drawing. He is a resident of Winslow.

The claimant’s ticket was randomly selected from all the eligible entries players had submitted from non-winning instant scratch-off tickets. His Play It Again win came from the $20 $1,000,000 Riches ticket. Koontz discovered he was a winner yesterday.

“I received a phone call from the lottery saying that I had won in one of those second-chance drawings,” he said. “I didn’t get too excited because I thought it was a scam and was waiting on the punch line.”

Koontz added, "I told my wife about the phone call, so she checked The Club website to see if my name was listed and called the lottery to confirm the win."

The Club has more than 327,000 registered members. It is free to sign up by visiting MyArkansasLottery.com or via the official AR Lottery + Club Mobile App and clicking on “The Club.”

Players can enter eligible non-winning instant scratch-off tickets to earn Points for Prizes® points and enter the Play It Again drawings. Players can also enter eligible winning and non-winning terminal-generated tickets for Points for Prizes points.

Koontz plans to pay bills and take a vacation with his newfound wealth.

The next Play It Again drawing is anticipated for Feb. 29 for a $250,000 lottery prize. Players can see which games are included in this drawing by visiting the Drawings & Winners page on The Club website at TheClub.aslplayerservices.com/drawings.

A North Little Rock woman won $120,000 playing Natural State Jackpot (NSJ). Connie H. purchased the winning Quick Pick NSJ ticket at Walmart #36, 2802 W. Kingshighway in Paragould, for the Oct. 20 drawing.

The winning numbers for that night’s drawing were 11, 31, 32, 34, and 35. The Arkansan won the jackpot by matching all five numbers drawn and also plans to put her lottery prize toward a vacation.

This week, Antonio Robinson of Marion claimed a $25,000 lottery prize. His win came from the $2 Jumbo Bucks Elite instant ticket. In addition, Charles Adams of Little Rock won $15,292 playing AR Progressive Jackpot. Three other Arkansas Lottery players in North Little Rock, Searcy, and Stuttgart each won $10,000 from the $10 $10K Loaded instant ticket.

ASL is also offering the LOTTO Bundle exclusively for Arkansas lottery players. For only $6, a player gets four chances of winning a life-changing jackpot. They will receive a free LOTTO ticket when they buy three Quick Pick plays for a LOTTO draw. The promotion will run through October.

“All players have to do to get this great deal is visit their local lottery retailer and ask for the LOTTO Bundle,” said Eric Hagler, ASL executive director.

The LOTTO jackpot for tomorrow night is up to $464,000. For more information on game odds and how to play, visit MyArkansasLottery.com.
