Last Friday, one instant ticket win turned a routine gas station trip into an early weekend celebration.

Vanessa C. from Pulaski County won $50,000 playing $50,000 Stacked and claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on June 19.

“I’m calling today, ‘Fri-yay,’” Vanessa said. “This is just so amazing!”

Vanessa bought her winning ticket at Sam Cantrell LLC, located at 7320 Cantrell Road in Little Rock. An occasional lottery player, she stopped at the gas station for a drink and decided to try her luck with a scratch-off ticket. With $40 in winnings from a previous game, she followed her intuition and purchased a $50,000 Stacked ticket.

“I just got a feeling,” Vanessa told lottery officials.

Her intuition was rewarded almost immediately: as Vanessa scratched the ticket in her car, she realized it held a $50,000 top prize.

“Lo and behold, if that wasn’t a $50,000-winning ticket!” Vanessa said. “I thought I was seeing things.”

She ran back into the gas station, asking the store team to confirm her win.

“Y’all, I think I just won $50,000—check my ticket!” she said.

Sure enough, Vanessa had won the prize and landed her biggest scratch-off win by far. After celebrating with the gas station team, she shared the good news with her friend.

The lucky winner plans to take her kids to the beach with her prize. She also intends to continue playing lottery games.

“I’ve got pretty good luck!” she said.

Another Arkansas lottery player won big in Saturday night’s LOTTO drawing.

A winning LOTTO ticket worth $25,000 was sold at Hop In Carpenter Dam, 500 Carpenter Dam Road in Hot Springs for the June 20 drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 14, 18, 20, 23 and 32. The Bonus Number was 13.

This ticket is currently unclaimed, and the winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

The LOTTO jackpot is $1.767 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
