The Powerball® and LOTTO jackpots continue to climb ahead of this weekend’s drawings. 

Saturday night, the Powerball jackpot is $856 million, rising to become the draw game’s eighth-highest jackpot of all time. The other seven jackpots reached $1 billion or more, including last December’s $1.817 billion jackpot, won in Arkansas. 

Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. To win the jackpot, a player must match the five numbers drawn, plus the Powerball number. Tickets cost $2 per play, and players can buy the optional Power Play® multiplier for an additional $1, which can increase non-jackpot winnings by up to 10 times.

Ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on draw nights.

Also drawing Saturday night, the LOTTO jackpot is $2.174 million.

LOTTO drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Six numbers plus a Bonus Number are drawn. To win the jackpot, a player must match all six numbers drawn in any order. Other prizes are available for players who match three or more winning numbers, with or without the Bonus Number.

LOTTO tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m.
