Powerball and LOTTO Jackpots Soar for Wednesday Draw; Columbia County Man Claims $200,000 Lottery Prize

Little Rock, Ark.

Arkansas lottery players could win life-changing jackpots with tonight’s Powerball® and LOTTO drawings.

The Powerball® jackpot is $786 million for the Aug. 5 drawing. Surpassing a $768.4 million jackpot from 2019, this jackpot is the draw game’s ninth-highest of all time. Powerball was last won at $20 million in May, and the game has produced five jackpots in 2026 alone.

Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on draw nights.

For an additional $1, players can purchase the optional Power Play® multiplier, which can increase non-jackpot winnings by up to 10 times.

Tonight’s LOTTO jackpot is $2.141 million. Played and won only in Arkansas, the game offers in-state lottery players a chance to win big prizes. More than 3,000 winning tickets were sold for the Aug. 1 LOTTO drawing, including seven tickets worth $1,500 and one ticket worth $25,000.

LOTTO drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m.

Powerball and LOTTO are available for purchase at licensed Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.

One Columbia County resident has already started celebrating his biggest win yet.

Christopher T. won $200,000 playing Xtreme Multiplier, a $10 instant ticket, and claimed his prize at the ASL Claim Center on Aug. 3.

The winning ticket was sold at EZ Fuel Stop 107, 1016 E. Main Street in Magnolia.

Christopher stopped for gas on his lunch break when he thought, “Let me just grab a few tickets.” He had planned to buy two scratch-off games, but something told him to purchase a third. He spotted the Xtreme Multiplier ticket and, having previously won $10 on the game, decided to take another chance.

With just a few minutes left before it was time to return to work, Christopher scratched off the Xtreme Multiplier ticket. To his shock, it held a $200,000 top prize. He rushed to share the good news with his daughter.

“I just had to tell somebody,” Christopher told lottery officials.

The lucky winner plans to save most of his winnings and take care of his family.

Two $200,000 top prizes remain on Xtreme Multiplier.
