Arkansas County Man Wins $1 Million Prize Playing Instant Game
Persistence recently paid off with a big win for one long-time Arkansas lottery player.
Rodrigo C., an Arkansas County resident, won $1 million playing $1,000,000 Jackpot. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on April 23.
The winning ticket was sold at RP Fuel LLC, located at 100 E. Michigan St. in Stuttgart.
A daily lottery player, Rodrigo enjoys a variety of instant games and purchased the winning $20 ticket as part of his usual lottery playing routine. At the time, the most he had ever won was $500. Rodrigo had begun to doubt whether he could land a bigger prize when a friend offered him some words of encouragement.
“Today could be your day,” Rodrigo’s friend said.
Later, Rodrigo scratched off the winning ticket at home while eating in his kitchen. To his shock, the ticket held a $1 million top prize.
“It was hard to believe,” he told lottery officials. “I thought I was dreaming.”
The lucky winner stared at the ticket for five minutes, then rushed to share the good news with his children.
Rodrigo plans to invest his winnings and take care of his family with his prize. He also intends to continue playing lottery games for fun.
One $1 million top prize remains on $1,000,000 Jackpot.
Earlier this month, two additional winners also claimed top prizes playing instant games. One winning ticket, 100X, was sold at Cantrell Conoco Phillips, located at 3723 Cantrell Road in Little Rock. The top prize was $250,000. The second winning ticket, Triple Cash Payout, was sold at Wa Wa Mart, 7515 Baseline Road in Little Rock. The top prize was $200,000.
