Boone County and Pulaski County Residents Land $50,000 Lottery Prizes

Little Rock, Ark.

Earlier this week, two lucky lottery players stopped by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center to collect big prizes.

Boone County resident Rick S. won $50,000 playing $50,000 Frenzy. He claimed his prize on Feb. 2. The $20 winning ticket was sold at K & G MO #205, located at 524 Highway 62-65 South in Harrison.

Rick purchased the winning ticket on the way home from work. As a regular player, he prefers buying $10 and $20 scratch-off tickets for a better chance at a larger payout. Lucky for him, this ticket held one of the instant game’s many $50,000 top prizes. He had previously won two $10,000 prizes, but this win was his biggest yet.

The lucky winner first shared the good news with his wife and daughter, neither of whom believed him until he showed them the ticket.

Rick plans to buy a new car with his winnings. He also intends to continue playing lottery games, hoping to keep his lucky streak going with an even bigger prize.

Another winner, Cedric C. of Pulaski County, also won $50,000 playing $50,000 Frenzy and claimed his prize on Monday.

Cedric purchased the winning ticket at Doublebees #101, 10705 N. Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock. He and his wife often travel the state, buying a few lottery tickets along the way. On Sunday evening, the pair briefly stopped at the lottery retailer when the $50,000 Frenzy ticket caught Cedric’s eye. He knew the game still had several top prizes remaining and decided to take a chance.

“I’m feeling good about this,” Cedric told his wife.

At home, Cedric started scratching the ticket, but he did not get far—the first playspot held a $50,000 top prize.

Cedric’s wife initially could not believe the good news.

“He’s a jokester,” she told lottery officials. She checked the ticket from top to bottom, then scratched the remaining playspots to confirm the win.

Cedric, too, was in disbelief.

“I kept looking at it to make sure it didn’t change,” he said. “It was a really exciting time.”

With a $50,000 prize now under his belt, Cedric has turned his eyes toward another lottery game.

“I’m after the Natural State Jackpot,” he said, smiling.

Eleven $50,000 top prizes remain on $50,000 Frenzy.
