Wednesday Night’s Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $1.25 Billion
The Powerball® jackpot continues to climb as the holidays approach.
Tonight’s $1.25 billion jackpot remains the draw game’s sixth-highest jackpot of all time. It is also Powerball’s second-highest jackpot of the year, marking only the second time the game has produced two consecutive jackpots of $1 billion or more.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing. To win the jackpot, a player must match all five numbers and the Powerball number. Other prizes are available for players who only match the Powerball number.
Once won, the jackpot will reset to $20 million for the next drawing. If more than one player matches all six numbers drawn, the jackpot will be split evenly among the winners.
Arkansas lottery players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prizes.
Powerball tickets are available for purchase at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.
