Retailer Spotlight - Murphy USA #7928

They may be one of the newer retailers on the block, but Murphy USA #7928 in Bryant has already established itself as a go-to spot for lottery players in the area. The team has two keys to success: their welcoming, knowledgeable employees and their attentive lottery representative.

Once a kiosk location, this retailer held a grand opening for its newly renovated store in August 2024. Since then, store manager Kaitlyn Dunn has seen her fair share of newcomers and regulars alike. While her experience at other retailer locations serves as a helpful guide, Dunn especially highlights the meaningful contributions of her team.

“Having knowledgeable employees—that’s one of the biggest things,” Dunn said.

Among basic lottery best practices, each team member is also trained to read and enter playslips manually, update players on draw games and jackpots and show players how to use the official AR Lottery + Club app for convenience. Their training ultimately makes it easier for regular players to access their favorite games and for new players to have a positive lottery experience.

In addition to her regular team members, Dunn also credits their success to the strong relationship they have built with their lottery representative. Whether it’s keeping their lottery bins stocked for players or training the team for the Mega Millions® game change well in advance, this relationship has played a key role in keeping customers satisfied. 

“Our rep is really good with helping us out and making sure we have what we need,” Dunn said. “If we ever needed something, she’s right around the corner and is always supportive.”

Ultimately, the effort pays off with each positive customer visit–especially when a player wins while in the store.

“It’s exciting, especially when you can see people’s eyes light up,” Dunn said.
