Benton Man Wins $250,000 Play It Again® Prize; Unclaimed Powerball® Ticket Worth $50,000 Sold in Russellville

Little Rock, Ark.

For one lucky Benton resident, a non-winning scratch-off game transformed into a $250,000 prize.

Jeremy Holleman won $250,000 in the May 22 Play It Again® Second-Chance drawing with a non-winning $10 Triple Cash Payout instant ticket. He recently claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center.

Jeremy, a monthly lottery player, had entered his previously non-winning ticket into The Club. However, when he received both a call and an email from the lottery saying he had won $250,000 in the Play It Again Second-Chance drawing, he hesitated to believe the news.

“That has to be a scam,” Jeremy thought.

It wasn’t until a clerk at his local lottery retailer mentioned the drawing that the Benton man began to suspect he really had won the $250,000 prize. Soon after, he began receiving congratulatory messages from his Facebook friends. Excited, they sent screenshots of the drawing results saying, “You won!”

Jeremy finally checked The Club’s website and, sure enough, he was listed as the winner. Drawing results are posted on the Drawings & Winners page of The Club’s website.

“I was shaking,” Jeremy told lottery officials. “I didn’t believe it was real! Now, I’m just happy.”

The lucky winner plans to buy a new truck with his prize. He also intends to continue playing lottery games.

The next Play It Again Second-Chance drawing is scheduled for Sept. 11. The prize is $250,000. To see a list of eligible games or redeem points for prizes, visit The Club on MyArkansasLottery.com.

The Club gives Arkansas lottery players another chance to win big. Members of The Club can redeem their non-winning instant scratch-off tickets for Points for Prizes® points and Play It Again drawing entries. Members may also enter eligible terminal-generated tickets for Points for Prizes points.

Another lucky player won $50,000 in the June 9 Powerball® drawing. The winning ticket was sold at PDQ North, 2403 N. Arkansas Ave. in Russellville. The winning numbers were 30, 33, 40, 43 and 52, and the Powerball number was 25. The Power Play® multiplier was 4.

The winner matched four out of five winning numbers and the Powerball number to land the $50,000 prize. They were one of only five players nationwide to win a prize in this tier.

This ticket is currently unclaimed. The winner has 180 days to claim their prize.

The Powerball jackpot is $65 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
